Need something to help differentiate instruction for adding and subtracting fractions? This worksheet includes 3 levels to aid in differentiation. Students will with like denominators, then unlike denominators, and then with negatives.

The levels are listed as follows:

A: Adding/Subtracting fractions with like denominators

B: Adding/Subtracting fractions with unlike denominators

C: Adding/Subtracting fractions with negatives.

You can choose to have students do all three levels to see where they may mess up, or just assign a certain level to individual students.

This is a great review for students. It ensures that they know the basics before moving on.
This is one of my favorite activities to give to my students. They are so excited when they are able to move to the next level! I check to make sure they have the correct answers for one level before moving on to the next.
