Description
This is your one-stop-shop for a researched-based, quick and engaging, 7th grade geometry review for common core standards to help your students prepare for the end of grade test for your state. This resource is created for a 1-2 day review of the geometry domain including standards 7.G.1, 7.G.2, 7.G.3, 7.G.4, 7.G.5, and 7.G.6.
After reviewing multiple end-of-grade tests in a variety of common core states, I have created a review to best stress what standards are tested most often so that your students can have to confidence to rock the test!
What is included in this 7th grade geometry review?:
-
a mini-lesson: This is a 21 slide EDITABLE mini-lesson (PPT and PDF) that reviews scale drawings and scale models, cross-sections of 3-D figures, area and circumference of circles, complementary, supplementary, vertical, and adjacent angles, and surface area and volume. This mini-lesson covers an overview of all topics and is meant to be completed in a short amount of time so that students can spend more time applying the information. The mini-lesson includes interactive portions such as think-pair-share and asking for volunteers.
-
math centers: This review includes four math centers: scale drawings and scale models task cards (mini-set of 8 cards), area and circumference of circles task cards (mini-set of 8 cards), surface area of prisms and pyramids cut-and-glue (mini – 6 problems), and a geometry memory/match game (aligns with the 7th-grade math word wall). There are a lot of cards in the memory/match game, so depending on the time that you have, it may be better served as a matching game.
-
homework assignment – This is a 15 question printable that includes vocabulary matching and three short answer questions.
