Description
Looking for an energy conservation activity that focuses on the conservation and stewardship of renewable and nonrenewable resources? This is the one!! Task cards are one of my all-time favorite classroom tools. They serve many purposes and can be used to meet the individual needs of your students. They are a wonderful alternative to a classic worksheet, and most of the time, students do not even realize that they are learning and working! ⬅️ That’s the best part!

Task Cards cover the following:
- advantages and disadvantages of different energy sources (sunlight, wind, flowing water, geothermal, oil, coal, gas, nuclear)
- importance of stewardship and conservation
- impact of the increase or decrease of the consumption of an energy source
- and more!
These pair well with these lessons: Natural Resources – Renewable and Nonrenewable Energy Interactive Lesson and Conservation of Energy Resources Interactive Lesson.
Good for an “I’m finished” Station. They are also good for a class review before a test, or just a regular assignment.
There are 20 task cards in all. An answer sheet and answer key is included.
** Oh, and there is an editable text version if you want to change up the questions!
This energy conservation activity pairs well with NC Standard: ESS.8.4.4 as well as other state standards dealing with stewardship and conservation of renewable and nonrenewable energy resources.
This is a great support activity for NGSS standard MS-ESS3-3, MS-ESS3-4, and MS-ESS3-5.
