Description
Are you looking to engage your students with an adding integers and subtracting integers game? This is the perfect activity for your integers unit! Hopefully, students will increase their mental math skills as well. That’s a win-win for sure!
There is a class set of thirty cards, and my students loved it! Players can have more than one card!

How to Play this Adding Integers and Subtracting Integers Game:
- Distribute all cards out to students. Students can have more than one card.
- The first card says “the first card”. The first student reads their car and says, “I have the first card!”, then they say, “Who has 4 +(-2)?”. (This is what is written on their card.)
- Whoever has this card will say, “I have 2. Who has -6 +3?”.
- Whoever has that card will say, “I have -3. Who has -10 – (-2)?”.
- The game is played until all cards have been read!
All cards should be used during the game. Students love to have more than one card!
Here’s another idea!
You could use this as a math center!
Have students put these cards in order starting with the first card!
