In this activity, students will dissect a chicken wing and construct an explanation to summarize how the muscular system and skeletal system work together and are interconnected with other body systems to help the body function and maintain homeostasis.

Ways to use this resource:

Materials needed:
- raw chicken wings
- dissecting tools (dissection scissors, probe, forceps)
- dissecting trays or plates
- lab safety equipment for students (gloves, goggles, apron, etc.)
- plastic bags for waste disposal
